New Song! Delhi

I was recently lucky enough to go on the trip of a lifetime to India. I hadn't been to India for ten years and it was amazing to go back to some of the places and people I had visited so long ago.

The experience was at once awe-inspiring and gruelling, nostalgic and new. So I was inspired to write. A lot. I wrote a travel diary and took photos every day and all the while little bits of rhyme and verse came to me, saving themselves for later when I had chance to pay proper attention to them again.

After a ten day trip I came home, got over my jet lag and quickly sat down with my guitar. I retuned the strings, sat at my notebook and wrote this song, This is a song about travelling, about seeing new things, about feeling connections to places I had never been to before while feeling a distinct and aching pull to the people and places that I had left behind.
